Works

I work through motifs rather than standalone ideas. Each motif begins with a moment of awe in daily life, often sparked by nature. It requires a period of repetition and practice, allowing my hand and the ink to become familiar with the motif’s particular character. Only once this fluency develops finished works begin to appear.

This approach echoes classical ink-wash traditions, where artists returned to the same motif countless times, letting understanding deepen through practice rather than through concept.
